Four years ago, Mercedes-Benz was considering to drop the A-class lineup from their brand, but soon realized that a strong demand was still out there for it. The German automaker gives us an insight on the future of the class through the Concept A, M27o – a stylized version of the future production model.
Unfortunately since this is just a concept, a lot of the cool features will be lost a long the way but we expect the final model to share many elements from the Concept A. The final model will be have a front-wheel-drivetrain, a blueEFFICIENCY 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that is capable of 210-horsepower. The four-door M270 will also come with a dual-clutch transmission, based collision-detection system, adaptive brake assist, and more. Concept A will debut at the 2011 New York Auto Show as well as the Shanghai Motor Show.
