The message Mercedes-Benz is giving is simple, the world is not ending in 2012.  This is mostly directed to those that will be financing this beauty; be aware, you’ll be paying a hefty price for it, even possibly beyond the grave.   However, is the dollar amount being asked as a trade off worth it.?

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 Black Series  has been on the drawing board, and slightly re-invented since 2005, and the results are in.  Not only does it come pretty in red, it is also equipped with an M156 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8, which gets 510 horsepower, and 457 pound-feet of torque.  With those specs, you would think that there isn’t much room for mistake while in the driver seat, however, even the average amateur driver will be able to tame the power in the pedals (of course with Traction Control enabled), thanks to Mercedes-Benz’s adjusted handling.

Simply put, this will be the golden boy of Mercedes-Benz for the upcoming year.  The market for affordable super cars is trimming the fat off its price tags, and adding relief to potential buyers searching for a good bargain.  Can I say this is a good buy? Not yet.  Would I consider this one of my top 3 purchases? Well that’s hard to say giving the fact that there are many options out there right now, but it’s definitely noted on my Christmas wish list.  Let’s face it though, most of us will be the ones being eaten while riding inside our smart cars.  While this may be a bargain to relatives of Donald Trump, it’s not for most of the populace that constantly complains over a fill-up every time they hit the petrol station.  If price efficiency is more important than gas mileage,  than you might want to cross this Mercedes-Benz off YOUR list.
