At only $199.99, combined with Ipad like functions and interactivity, this gadget will definitely end up taking a chunk out of Apple’s tablet market. The Kindle Fire will has a 7″ IPS color display, 8GB of internal memory as well as a Wi-Fi connectivity for browsing the web and purchasing content, which means no more 3g.
The only issue is that it will have no camera, no microphone unlike other tablets but it will run just like them thanks to its super fast dual core processor. Battery is said to last for up to 8 hours. Unfortunately, to enjoy the kindle fire to its fullest, you need to subscribe to their Prime membership which provides access to thousands of streaming videos and movies. Thankfully though, Amazon is offering a 30 days trial period for free.
Everything you put on it is also stored in the Amazon server cloud including your apps. According to rumors, the kindle fire will come loaded with ads, thus the low purchase price…which sucks and could hurt its success.
