Finally…a day after Japan’s NTT docomo leak, comes the real thing. This is the Galaxy Nexus, the new Android and Google Flagship phone made by Samsung. It will run android 4.0 which is also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. The new Android OS is basically a morph between Gingerbread and Honeycomb, Why? Because Google want’s to have a single OS for both their phones and tablets…just like Apple’s iOS.
The screen is super big, at 4.65-inches with a smooth curve. The most notable difference is the disappearance of the buttons. They are now part of the screen which give a lot more UI real estate and different user interactions. Resolution is at 1280×720 HD, Super AMOLED PLus Screen, the biggest high resolution screen on the market yet. The Galaxy Nexus will also come with NFC radio (for google’s mobile wallet). It will have LTE radios, a 1.2Ghz dual-core OMAP processor from texas instruments and 1GB of RAM.
The camera shoots at 1080p and has a 5MP sensor which is inferior to the iPhone 4S’s 8MP. Price will be around $299 on contract and available this November.
