A Civic SUV? Why not… I know enough die hard Honda fans that will surely contemplate purchase. Following the success of other small SUVs and the catastrophic loss of inventory caused by the Japanese Tsunami, Honda’s set on boosting profitability, specially in Europe where sales have been slowing down over the last three years. Apparently the CR-V is become too big for some consumers, and a Civic SUV might just do the trick. The car will go on sale next year but no word on the price yet.

first the Nike Mags, and now this, an all new, all electric, DeLorean. Announced last Friday at the DMC Texas Open House, the company will re-produce the old classic with the help of Epic EV on an electric DMC-12.

Top speed is estimated at 125 mph and 260 hp. Suggested retail will hover around $90,000 and $100,000 USD mark…flex capacitor not included!

Yes, the e-tron, derived from the popular Tron franchise for unknown and very cheesy reasons. But as far as the car goes, the 2014 Audi e-tron spyder is the roofless version of the electric concept e-tron showcased at last January’s Detroit Auto Show. Unlike the concept which had two rear-wheel drive electric motors, this one will come with a plug-in diesel hybrid-electric drivetrain. The car is apparently only limited to 40 miles per hour on the electric motor, after that, the v6 diesel engine kicks in which gives it an additional 5 mph as an extra “boost”.

The two electric motors provide 89 horsepower combined with the power of a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 TDI producing 296 hp which translates into a total of 385 hp. Meanwhile, torque is estimated at 739 pound-feet. With all that power combined, the e-tron will do 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds

No word on Audi’s future plans in bringing this car to market but for now it will simply remain as a one-off showcar estimated at $2.7 million USD

It is actually quite nice until you start wondering what went wrong with the front headlights. The newly redesigned BMW 3 Series now looks a lot like the rest of the fleet which is a good thing but it still looks like a 3 series: A smaller version of the 5 Series. But Unlike the 5, the new 3 is a lot similar to the most recent Z4′s aggressive yet feminine front stance. This is probably due to the fact that The 3 series is BMW’s best selling car and has always targeted both male and female drivers taste in visual design.

Another major difference that most will notice is the super long front hood. European safety standards now require all cars to have taller front hoods for pedestrian not smashing directly into the drivers windshield. Bigger and lighter then its predecessor, this means more room inside and an improvement in fuel consumption. The new 3 will come with a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that is also shared by the Z4. Unlike the old 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder in the 328i, this one produces an estimated 240 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The new 328i will do 0-60 in 5.7 seconds to limited top speed of 130 mph.

The 335i model however will come with a single turbo 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder that produces 300 hp and 300 lb-feet of torque.The new 335i’s fuel-saving measures have also improved to an estimated 32.6 mpg thanks to all the new technologies like Brake Energy Regeneration, ECO Pro mode, and more.

As for the interior, the 3 will come in four trim levels: Sport Line, Luxury Line, Modern Line, and M Sport package. The sport line will come with a dark themed interior. The luxury trim with a chrome themed interior and a special set of 18-inch multi-spoke allow wheels. The modern line will feature a satin aluminum trim and the the M Sport Package will come with a entirely different exterior look thanks to its unique aerodynamic package and 18 or 19 inch M design wheels.

In terms of technology, the 2012 3 Series will come equipped with a number of new gadgets: A full color high-resolution Heads-up display, Active blind spot detection, camera monitoring for lane departure and collision warning, a new surround views system with top and side view camera. A hybrid version is also said to be in the works under the name of ActuveHybrid 3 that will output an estimated 335 hp and 330-ft of torque.

Price for the base models is estimated at $34,600 USD for the 328i and $42,000 for the 335i

The guys at Autoblog were recently given the chance to take a closer look at the new 2012 Lexus LFA. After a day with the car, they concluded that it was in fact a drug that literally sucks the driver into its own world. Equipped with a 4.8-litre V10, the new LFA launches to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 202 mph.

Only 500 will be available for purchase at an affordable price of $375,000 USD…Honestly if it was up to me, I’d go for the upcoming 6.3-litre V12 Ferrari F152 and save some cash but this Lexus is just as good. As long as your okay with buying a “Lexus” at this price range.

What happens when you mix a Ferrari 458 with an FF? This happens. The Italian car manufacturer wants to replace the old and slow 599 GTB Fiorano with a lighter and faster version called the F152.

Unlike the FF, the F152 will be a RWD monster capable of producing 700bhp through a 6.3-litre V12 direct-injected engine. This would make the F152 the most powerful car Ferrari has ever produced. Underneath all that power will come a set of adaptive dampers, an aluminum chassis and shorter wheelbase. The result is an estimated top speed of 215mph and a 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds, putting it in close competition with Lamborghini’s Aventador.

Prototypes have been spotted and will unveil it at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March. Interested buyers can expect a retail price of £225,000 – $360,000 USD, making it $30k cheaper then the Lamborghini Aventador!!

I know, its sad, what looked like Honda’s racing spirit coming back to life again just went back into a coma today. According to Topgear, the automaker will not mass produce the CR-Z Mugen RR Hybrid concept. No, it was purely meant for teasing. While we saw great opportunity for this car, unfortunately Honda is more interested in making cars for families and old people. Damn you Yen currency!

For those who don’t know, the CR-Z Mugen RR Hybrid Concept was going to a lighter body thanks to a hardcore carbon fiber re-design, with 197hp while maintaining an impressive 50mpg and a 0-60 in 6.6 seconds…sounds like the CR-Z they should have mass produced instead.

Oh my, now that is one good looking Type R. It is faster then the last one and will even have a TURBO. This means that this Civic will be the first mass produced turbo car for Honda, ever. Sources in Japan have said that a Mugen version is also in development.

To put everything into perspective, rather then having a naturally aspirated 2.0L engine, this civic will have a 2.0L Turbo engine. The turbo will give the new Honda Civic Type R more low end torque and a 210bhp that will closely compete with WV’s latest Golf GTI. 0-60 in 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 150mph. Other then that, the car will also come with a lever like 6 speed manual gearbox.

The car will look a lot like what everyone saw at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September but will sport a more aggressive front and back bumper with large meshes, a rear spoiler, rear difuser, big side skirts, sporty interior, and 18″ dark grey alloy wheels.

No word yet on whether we will get this in North America but it is nice to see what others get to enjoy from Honda’s forbidden fruits.

The car is expected to go on sale in 2013 at about $35,000 USD

Since we first announced the possibility of a new NSX on the set of the Avengers a couple of weeks ago, new info regarding the mysterious car have emerged with some interesting stats.

Armed with an Acura badge, these spy shots show off what could be the next NSX or its future successor. Some have also gone to say that this would be the first Acura branded car to end up for sale in Japan for the first time. Even Honda’s CEO, Takanobu Ito has been recently quoted saying that plans for a new supercar were already in progress.

According to AutoExpress.com, a Honda source has been going around talking about a potential all wheel drive 3.5L V6 Hybrid concept that will drive the rear wheels and in-wheel electric motors to turn the fronts, producing over 400bhp…or even more as Honda’s currently perfecting that technology.

The car will also have a light aluminium body and is said to go on sale by 2014 at about the price of the current Nissan GT-R ($89,950 USD)
